Tantalizing Risk

So Ross called Tippa, and she asked him many questions that he needed to answer. She couldn’t risk losing her job again over a man she barely knew.

“Would you like to go out with me, Tippa?”

“Well, I do, but…will I be taking another risk that will cost me my livelihood?”

“I had a conversation with my parents, and I made it clear to Tippa how I felt about what they did and that I have different views on how I want to live my life. So, will you go out with me?”

She wondered, 'Will I be able to ignore one of the most handsome men who has ever shown me attention for the first time? Is he seriously interested, as confessed? Should I give in and examine him beyond phone calls to see if he's something more than what meets the eye and a man of his word?

“Yes, Ross, I will go out with you. But I want to take it slow.”
