Chapter 11_A bark

Bella's POV

With Nikey and the man with the huge voice gone, slowly and using my elbows, I crawled in the dirt under the watch of the moonlight and disappeared into the woods.

I looked back one last time, the hellhole Mrs Fernandez had left me for my death is not even familiar.

I have never seen it before, and looking at the building now, I could guess it is some kind of warehouse situated in the middle of nowhere.

I tried to stand on my feet and wade my way through the woods, not minding where I was headed, I just wanted to be far away from my captives, very far.

This was no time to tend to my wounds or my knee which I suspected has been broken.

So, I grabbed a stick nearby to aid my limping movement.

Just when I applied pressure on my two palms while holding the stick, I cried out in pain and quickly let go, blood trickled from them.

I began to weep in frustration, as I kept limping.

Going deeper and deeper into the woods, I remembered the man I had stabbed in the neck.
