Chapter 31_A surprise for Jade

It was late in the evening when a message popped up on Jade's screen.

Lazily, she yawned stretching herself. She's been lying on the couch all morning and for a greater part of the afternoon.

Ever since the battle with the nematodes, two months ago, there have been no serious work to do.

So, she spend most of her days getting tanned undet the heat of the sun at the beach or going fishing with Bolt, one of the werecoyote triplets.

Who's that? she queried in her head, pushing the phone which was lying carelessly on the couch upwards with a foot, then picked it up.

Rubbing her eyes, she glanced absentmindedly with eyes half closed.

"Hello ma'am, this is the Freewill courier agent, we have been ordered to deliver a package to your doorstep at this home address(Bladefist Avenue). Kindly come out to claim it"

She threw her eyes wide open and read again.
