Bella's POV

As I looked up, I saw him gazing down at me, baring his soul out to me. It felt like a beckoning to save him.

I yearned to answer this call. His call.

Those dark red eyes. Full of stories and pains untold. I wish to release him; to free him from their shackles, to ease him of his pain.

But Alec is no ordinary wolf. I can't forget that. The first time he revealed himself to me I knew I was hell bound with the worst trip mate ever.

Ironiically, I had a choice. To let go or keep going. I chose the latter, because of my parents of course. He is the best card right now to finding them.

Yes! My parents. Wake up Bella. I cautioned myself mentally and shook the stupid thoughts off my head.

He was still staring, his eyes looking deep into mine. I cleared my throat.

This jolted him and he broke the stare, suddenly letting go of my hands.
