Chapter 5_I never forgive

Seated in his large spacious and well furnished office was Alec, going through a stock book record of Daktec Globals, from the last few months.

Ever since his denouncement as the alpha of Dark Hind pack three years ago, he had fled undercover to a distant town, away from BloodBrigg and the pack.

As much as he is angered and bitter about what happened on the day of the contest, he seeked to find out why and how it happened: he vowed that day to bring the masterminds of his misfortune crawling on their knees to him, in chains!

For that, he established a large group of business chains that cut across all spheres, with a single base name- Daktec Globals. Every business group was linked to Daktec in one way or another.

For three years, he toiled in his own blood and sweat.

He hunted and was hunted. Many throats were slit by him, because those who came to discover his identity, rebeled against him and Alec never hesitated to bring their heads rolling on the floor.

It is in this blood feuds that Alec gathered a Crowd, that reckons with his authority.

Every pack who came to hear about him, feared the rogue alpha, so none was readily available to habour him in their town.

He hired Specialists in the business underworld who strictly took orders from him and took care of these businesses, making sure his identity as the power behind Daktec was never known.

Some of them would decline but his lip smacking offers always prevail as they ended up working loyally for him, his identity regardless.

Doomfield town became his foothold.

This is where Daktec Globals headquarters was built, under the guised name of a Doomfielder- Leo Amsterdam, a member of his crowd.

Alec operated from here.

Right now, he has his legs crossed high on the large mahogany table.

He held a cup of black coffee in his left hand.

As he sipped slowly from it, his focus were fixed on the paper in his other hand.

The telephone suddenly rang. He stared at it for a moment and picked it up after the fifth ring.

"Boss, you have a guest, the uumm..Mr Aiden" the secretary announced, sounding nervous.

Alec said nothing.

"Boss? Boss, can you.." He was about to say when Alec spoke icily "Send him in" and the receiver went off with two beeps

"What..? Yes boss!" He replied immediately almost standing at attention and dropped the reciever with shaky hands.

When he looked up, Aiden was already at the door about to open it.

He rushed to him, and held it wide open for Aiden. He walked in, straightening his suit and adjusting his tie.

He is the Creek pack alpha, Aiden Brutus.

"Aiden!, welcome to my abode!" Hailed Alec, in exaggerated enthusiam.

"Who would have thought our path will cross again, and in such manner" he added, as he shook Aiden's hand vigorously.

"Yes Alec, you and I do not seem to have anything in common but surprisingly we both want the same thing" said Aiden impatiently trying to chip in the purpose of his visit to Alec.

"I am impressed that you have thought about what I want, alpha Aiden" said Alec, calmly stressing on the "alpha"

"And it is even more surprising that you want the same thing" he continued "You amaze me, alpha" Alec added, chuckling.

"I am not here for banters, Alec, I am not suppose to be here by the way, although i dont consider you an enemy but, we are not friends either. The last battle was a neccesity. I was trying to protect my pack. It is what every alpha will do in such situations" said Aiden, as a matter of factly.

"This does not justify the fact that you attacked my crowd first. We do not break boundaries unless when necessary. Jade was simply trying to teach your long-leached warrior how to keep his tail in the right places" growled Alec.

"Asher was rejected by Jade, and lost his cool. The fight brought casualties on both sides. I believe it is neither a score nor a loss for us." Said Aiden, attempting to keep the discussion in check, He had sensed the anger rising in Alec.

Every park knows and have heard of the rogue alpha's very destructive temper. And right now the last thing Aiden wanted was to rile him up.

The veins on Alec's face was beginning to stand up tight against his skin.

"You should know before now that I fight not for justice nor injustice, I don't leave a fight unfinished and I never forgive!" He said coldly. "Prepare for a battle soon. We are not finished" he added dismissively and stood up, his hands in his pockets. He walked to the large glass window and stood watching the sight below.

"Alec, are you not interested in what brought me here? Asked Aiden, now folding his hands against his chest, he knew coming here will be this tough, Alec has never bent to any alpha's will nor presence.

Right now, his attitude in front of him was no where close to being surprising to Alden.

"You should be more interested in keeping your pack safe from me, henceforth" Alec replied in the same cold manner.

Thud! Aiden hit the large table in front of him with a loud bang sending some papers flying, and stood up abruptly.

"What do you want? Tell me what you need, tell me Alec and stop acting out. I need your crowd. Most of my park members were seriouly injured from the last battle with the nematodes, if you help me I will grant you a wish, in my power!" Aiden shouted, now on his feet, unable to hide his desperation which was obvious in his voice.

Alec scoffed and turned, regarded him for a second. Then he walked back to the table.

Aiden who was still on his feet, had his shoulders hunched and supporting himself with his palms spread on the table as he breathe heavily.

"Do you have what I want? I mean you are confident you have something I want" Alec scoffed again sitting down. He watched him keenly

"Now, that is not the posture of someone who wants a favor or righty put, someone who wants a peaceful agreement" he added.

Aiden quickly sat down. "We are at war with the nematodes, and my pack has gradually thinned out because of them, I need your help, Alec. In return I shall grant you a favor. So tell me what is it you want" he asked again, hurt evident in his eyes. He felt his ego crashing but he tried hard to put up a confident front still.

"You should know that I do not serve anyone and never will I simply do your biddings. Never. But, if this is an agreement then this surely is business and business I stand for" said Alex firmly.

Aiden nodded and gave a small sigh. He waited expectantly to hear him say what he wants in return

"We would attack the nematodes at dawn in two days time. Gather your pack members at the bottom of the Oasis rock" Alex said suddenly

Aiden was taken aback. "That can't be, Alec, we need time to figure out a proper plan first" Said Aiden hesitantly.

He has lost many pack members and do not wish to lose more

"Time isn't your friend right now, Aiden. If you want your pack still in existence in three days time, then be ready to move even if it is by sunset" Alex said, slowly whirling from side to side on his chair.

One thing about Alex was his perfection in this business. His assertiveness when it comes to dealing with helpless alphas who sort him out for his help and his artfulness in helping them fight their battles, and of course, for something in return.

Alphas who approached him with violence, fearing he would be a threat if approached otherwise, were usually defeated as he leaves them with scars for life.

Alec was constantly hunted and wanted, by his own enemies or enemies of alphas he had helped in the past.

He strikes a deal with them on the grounds that, if broken he will wipe out that pack.

Over the years, the rogue alpha has been able to build through sweat and blood a crowd that reckons with his authority and power; rogue wolves like himself, werecoyotes, red foxes and a witch who were abandoned, thrown out or rejected by their kind.

He called them the Crowd because they were neither a pack nor of the same breed.

"Have your pack ready, I will send a plan before hand" Alec said dismissively.
