Damien laughed as he reached forward and took his while I grabbed mine. A few moments later, the music blared into the headphones and I began to sing my part.

I watched as Damien kept his eyes down and his foot tapped to the beat. But when his part came up, he looked up and locked eyes with mine as his mouth touched the mic and magic came from his lips.
