So rude

MELISSA'S POV

Sitting on my balcony the next morning, I sipped on a hot cup of coffee while smoking a cigarette. "Smashing Pumpkins" played loudly from inside the condo as I stared out over the city. This was the only time I was allowed to be myself without anyone telling me it was wrong. My hair was pulled back in a ponytail and I didn't have a lick of makeup on, my tattoos barren for the world to see.

I stared out over Memphis for a moment longer, wondering what it would be like to walk down the streets in my leather MC cut, blonde hair blowing in the wind, and my biker boots clomping on the cement sidewalks. Would anyone notice who I was?

Probably not.

My daydreaming was cut short when the blaring music inside my condo went silent and an angry-sounding Milo echoed out onto my balcony.

"What the fuck is that racket?!"

I continued to stare straight ahead, not a single fuck given as I heard Milo enter my bedroom and finally out onto the balcony.
