‘Do you plan to attack him in his human form? What a tough beast you are!’ I mock Maddox to tame him, and I sense how it’s working like a charm, his anger is slowly dissipating.

‘Fine, you win!’ He grunts and I refrain from laughing. 

“So, what do you need to break to the others?” Landon pushes over, his face flushed in rage.

My brows furrow. “I think you know very well what.”

There is tension filling out the atmosphere, making the air hard to breathe.
