Chapter 114

Farren's Point of View

The house was a mess. All of the doors to the place had been ripped out. Windows were broken. Counters bashed in. It looked more like a war site than anything else. Although, it had been in essence. The place where my family was attacked because of me.

The extent of the damage was so severe, I knew I was going to have a hefty bill by the end of the restoration.

"We tried to keep them outside but they stormed in when you didn't come out," Alejandro said behind me.

His voice was devoid of any emotion. Or so he tried to make it seem. I could tell from the slight hitch at the end he felt bad for ruining my home. For what this feud had cost me.

All the new furniture I had bought lay in pieces all around. Even the cupboard doors in the kitchen were hanging at odd angles. As if they would find me in there. Searched the most unlikely places. Sighing, I stepped over the glass from the door.
