Quintez's Point of View

Lupitum was much better than where I had come from. The large imposing buildings with busy streets. Smells of baking loaves of bread and children running about. There might have been a more impoverished side to this city but it also boomed with something I wasn't used to.

Happiness.

No one looked sad at the circumstances they found themselves in. No one begged for scraps. Or arguing about mundane things. Everything and everyone had a place.

Unlike the village I had grown up in.

With a sparse population and even sparser food supplies, I had come to hate my hometown. People sneered at you on the street when you begged for their scraps. Kicked you down when they got drunk. Nights were cold and days hot. Nothing had balance within my old village.
