Chapter 94

Farren's Point of View

They lead me through a maze of walkways. Ushered me by my arms, even when I tried desperately to get free. Twisted my arms in their grip and wrenched. Nothing changed or happened. They would only adjust their grip and carry on.

Stony faces would look nowhere else but in front of them. Even pleading my case was a ridiculous thought. But I tried anyway. There was no harm in trying. Especially seeing as I knew where they were taking me. I would rather die by my own hand than face Dominique.

The wife killer.

"You don't have to do this, you know. I am rather wealthy. I could pay all of you even more than what Dominique and Camilo are squabbling over." My voice sounded empty. Hollow. There was no telling what ran through their minds but it was clear the feeble attempt had failed.

We took another left. Ascended some stairs. Here the pipes groaned. The buzz of electricity was also louder. There was most likely a transformer close by. So was the uppermost parking area. T
