Adelia's Point of View

Mother had her back turned towards me when I entered the kitchen. A light hum filled the room as she swayed her hips. She was oddly happy considering what day it was. Father was coming and once again, the healer had to smuggle him inside of Eiecrunt to visit me. Ciaran's obvious distaste of the man had everything to do with how my mother had portrayed him. Although I knew she was right in some aspects. 

Refusing for me to go visit Desert Sun had come from me pleading with her to tell him no. Mother had taken the brunt of his anger. Now he would come here to see me. I had been ever grateful for my mother's intervention, even if she couldn't understand why.
