“I asked why you have come to see me, Annabel?” Bret asked again, taking note of how different she looked in her appearance but instead of getting a response from her she bent over and planted a kiss on his lips, taking him by surprise.

“What are you doing Annabel?” Bret asked shortly afterwards, pulling himself away from Annabel and quickly standing up on his feet. He had never thought that Annabel could do something like this and if it were some months ago, he would have been very happy about it but now his heart is a little messed up with the thought of Monalisa.

“What does it look like I am doing?” Annabel asked, trying to keep her emotion in check as she felt like he was rejecting her and worse because she knew his reason for doing so.

“I know what you are doing but I do not understand why you are doing it," Bret told her.

"I am doing it because I love you, you already know how I feel so do not act like you don't," Annabel said, tightening her jaw muscles as she felt embarrassed
