“What brings you here?” Hamilton asked in a deep tone, wondering why Chico came to see him. “I have a feeling that you have been avoiding me,” Hamilton added, peering hard at Chico.

Chico shook his head slightly ready to deny Hamilton’s claim, knowing that it was true. “Avoiding you, I wasn’t avoiding you, I was busy with the affairs of the city you have delegated to me,” Chico said in response, making sure to sound convincing.

“Hmm,” Hamilton muttered, still peering hard at him and trying to make a judgment. He would not dare to go against him, Hamilton said inwardly, reminding himself of how no one in the city could challenge him. “Alright, so why are you here?” he asked, leaning back on the chair he was seated in and looking away from him.

“I came to pay my respect,” Chico replied, feeling relieved that he bought his excuse. He would try to take him unawares, he said inwardly, his only challenge is his strength at the moment which cannot match up with Hamilton’s.
