“Do I look Okay?” I ask as I watch myself for any flaws I might have missed, on my phone camera for the umpteenth time.

“Peanut, you look more than okay. You look amazing. I couldn't stop staring at you all the way here.” He says in that calm and patient voice like I hadn’t been asking the same question for the last one hour.

I fight off the blush that rose to my cheeks after his compliments, I would never get used to it anyway.

Squaring my shoulders, and taking a deep breath, I go;

“Ready. Finally.”

“I was content with just watching you.” He says before walking out of the car and rounding to my side.

“Thank you.”

He gives me an eye brow rise, the action tumbles in my belly and rolls around until I am tempted to pull him into a kiss.

“If your parents live so close by, why haven’t you ever visited?”

He takes my hand in his, gently leading me up the stairs of his parents house.
