Isla's POV

I found myself walking down a long winding road, there was not a soul in sight. The weather was beginning to get cold, and Cleo was getting tired, I knew that rest would help.

However, I just could not shake off the feeling that there was somebody behind me, watching me. Looking around, I saw nobody, inhaling the fresh air. I flared my nostrils but sensed nothing. Not even the tiniest whiff of another's scent. It was all very strange, so I decided that my mind was simply playing tricks on me. I was tired, beyond exhausted, but thankful to Cleo for taking over, giving me a small chance to recover. She was strong and could hunt for food so that we would not starve to death.

Coming across an old brick building which seemed from the outside to be abandoned, I allowed myself to shift back to human form. It was freezing and I pushed open the wooden door.
