Coma confusion

My head is pounding, and everything seems to be moving in slow motion in my head. I can hear voices around me, but no one stands out. Fenris is pacing, giving me a massive headache, but I do not know what has him so agitated. I feel myself slipping into another dark place, away from the real world and its problems.

I don't know how long I’ve been out, but the next time I feel myself slip into the world of living, the noise around me has increased, as has the knot in my stomach. I try to rack my brain, but it keeps coming up empty, other than a nagging feeling of danger.

‘You need to think back, Elijah. You are blocking it because of the trauma. Remember her.’ Fenris says, and I groan internally. A shrill voice besides me shouts for a doctor, and fuck if it’s not the most annoying thing I’ve never heard aside from my mother when she throws a tantrum.
