Lysander's Point of View

"Are you just going to leave them down there?" I couldn't help but ask as we made our way up the stairs. Nerezza didn't look back at me. The bounce in her step I had come to love had vanished, seemingly overnight. But it was just from the trauma she had sustained.

Whatever they had done to her down there, it was evident on her body. Torn clothes. Lethargic gait. Dirt covering every inch of her. No wonder she wasn't in a forgiving mood. I wouldn't be either, seeing as the men who were actually responsible stood just beneath us.
