Relaxation

A heavy yawn parted her lips as she stretched, pushing her body off the pillow pile near the fireplace to a seated position. Gunther was nowhere to be seen, but she could still sense his Lias, which meant he was nearby. Catherine looked at the walls of the cavern a little closer, then her eyes widened.

Diamonds-like gems littered the wall, glittering with a light all their own. They seemed to glow, something unlike anything she had ever seen, and she found them to be beautiful. Standing, she approached the wall, her hand reaching out to touch the sparkling jewel.

“Beautiful, are they not?” Gunther asked, startling her into turning around. “Silas said they formed over thousands of years, pressed tight by Erlias’s dirt and rocks.”

“It sounds so familiar, but I cannot remember where I heard it from.” She replied, her gaze turning away from his dripping wet form. “Did you bathe?”
