Unexpected 24: Chef

I did not think Zandy knew how to cook so I was surprised when I saw him in front of the stove cooking a fragrant dish that made my stomach growl even more.

"Just wait for the food on the table," he said, busy cooking.

I didn't move immediately. I just looked at him while he was mixing what he was cooking. I immediately smelled the delicious fragrance. It looks like expensive food in a restaurant because of its smell.

If I look at Zandy, he looks like a man and is not mistaken for gay and if I didn't know him, I might have been attracted to him especially since he knows how to cook.

"Why didn't you wake me up? Do you think I don't know how to cook? I know how to cook too, Zandy," I said even though I wasn't exposed to the kitchen to cook.

"I want you to take a rest," he answered simply. I saw that he had turned off the stove and put the dish on a plate. "Will you just stand there, Miles? Help me to prepare the food," he turned to me gruffly with a serious face.
