Unexpected 25: Name

I DON'T know but why did I feel so disappointed when I didn't see Zandy outside the office? It's like I'm looking for him there or maybe I'm just not used to not having Zandy teasing me.

I sighed and closed my eyes slightly. Why am I thinking about Zandy? I don't have to think about him anymore. It's better that he's not there to tease me and remind me of my past.

"Oh? Your husband won't pick you up?" Shai asked as she turned to me.

"I have my car, Shai, so he doesn't have to pick me up. And besides, he's busy," I reasoned, then smiled even though I knew it didn't reach my ears.

"Why? Are you looking for your husband, Miles?" Andrea asked meaningfully.

"Of course not, Andrea, I can go home alone. I've been going home alone since my first day of working here. I'm used to it," I insisted.
