"It's not wrong to think about yourself," Alex replied. Anastasia lifted her eyes and peered at him.
"I was scared. Why did you tell Marcus to hit you with that bottle? Don't you care for your life?" Anastasia queried him.
"Ana, I want to see him behind the bars. He bad mouthed about you. I could not bear that," Alex asserted. He put his hand over Anastasia's hand and brought it near his mouth. "No one ever cried for me the way you did today," Alex stated and kissed her knuckles. The tears poured down Anastasia's eyes again. Even in this situation, Alex cared for her.
