FREYAI was standing at the curb, waiting for a cab to flag down when I heard my name being called. I looked around, but saw no one. I frowned. Did I mishear?Worse, it had sounded like Kate's voice. I was about to flag down an incoming cab, when a fancy car pulled to a stop in front of me. I frowned, taking a step back and then, another. The window of the car rolls down, and I squint into the car. A breathable laughter escapes my mouth the moment I recognized Kate and Jerry sitting at the back seat of the car. I had no idea they came to the restaurant with a car. I thought they strolled. " Don't just stand there, sweetheart," Kate said, her amusement obvious in her voice. " Get in, let's drop you off."I hesitated, but then realizing I had no lie that would be believable to tell them, I just got into the car. " Where to, Ma'am?" The driver asked. FREYA Freya Amelia Hamfeild. That is my identity now. . Yes, I agreed to be Kate and Jerry's adopted daughter, and my kids now had Hamfeild attached to their names. Everything I watch my kids live and enjoy a privileged life, my heart aches at the fact that Meena is not here. I was not the only one that missed Meena's bubbly personality, Chris did too. FREYA" Ma'am, someone made a delivery to you," my personal assistance tells me as I walk into my office. I signal for her to wait a moment as I was on call. She nods, a big brown envelope in her hand. Once I was done with the call, I turn my attention to her, a smile on my face. " Yes, dear, what we're you saying?" I ask her. She drops the envelope on my table. " This was delivered this morning to you anonymously. The delivery man said its the information you paid for," she explains. My eyes widens. FREYA I stood in front of my dresser's mirror, in the condon I had bought after a got here. Jiel came over once in while to stay with me, but since I started infiltrating the mafia world, I told her to stay away.
