Adriana's Point of View

It was now nighttime, and I was going to try shifting into a Lycan for the first time. I honestly had no idea how to even begin other than to imagine the creature I wanted to become, but I was going to try anyway. It might take a couple of tries. It might not even happen.

I stood next to Daemon and stripped in the dark.

"Let's do this, Calliope," I said.

Imagining Calliope on two legs was a bit hard as I only saw her in my mind as being on four.

"It's not that hard," grumbled Calliope, who then projected her ideal image of what she would look like as a Lycan.

"Wow!" I exclaimed. "You look terrific! Not that you don't, anyway."

"Of course!" I felt her smirking back at me.

I held on to the picture in my mind and imagined flowing into it. The world seemed to phase in and out, and I felt like it was actually working. Suddenly I felt strong negative emotions that appeared to come from Daemon.
