It was only after Samantha and Arthur had left, that I started to question whether or not I had made the right decision by allowing them to leave on their own. I knew that there was no threat from inside of the pack, but that did not mean that it was entirely safe for them to leave, either. I was sitting on the sofa right now, but it didn't change the fact that I felt like I was about to run out of the front door at any moment now, to go after them. I needed to make sure that they were alright.

But even thouh I had this desire, I knew that I could not give in to it. I needed to stay aware of the fact that it would only be a matter of time before the pack would be able to pick up on all of this, and it wouldn't get us anywhere. Samantha needed to get used to being on her own, because she needed to learn her way around the pack. And the only way for her to do that, would be to allow her to wander around on her own.
