Guilt ripped through me like a tidal wave, and I could not help but feel like I had been too harsh on Samantha. But it was too late for me to feel this way now. I laid in bed, staring up at the ceiling, feeling like I had already memorised the locations of all of the indents and imperfections on it. Just as I had been expecting, I was nothing short of being exhausted when I woke up the next morning.
