C H A P T E R 81 - Elijah.

I would be lying if I claimed to know what woke me up in the middle of the night, but I suddenly found myself with the insatiable thirst for water. I didn’t have to go far to quench my thirst, but once I was laying in bed, I could not help but to lay awake. I knew, without a doubt, that I wouldn’t be falling asleep anytime soon. I could try as much as I wanted to, and it wasn’t going to get me anywhere. And I knew that it had everything to do with my curiosity in terms of Samantha, my eagerness to know how she was coping with everything that was happening to her.

But as much as I wanted to know how she was doing, I also knew that it was none of my business. It was not my role or responsibility to check up on her, although, she is living under my roof. Perhaps that gives me the right to go there? It was something that I wasn’t entirely sure about, and I didn’t want to do something that was out of line in Samantha’s books.
