Kelvin carried his sleepy wife to the bed. She turned in his arms before he could leave to make a phone call.
“Baby, stay. I want to cuddle.” He kissed her forehead and she sagged against him. Slipping in beside her, he spooned her but she turned in his arms so she was facing him. “Kev?” His eyes met hers and his thumb caressed her jaw. “I know I’ve not been the best wife to you and you must be tired of hearing this from me but I wanted to say thank you. And to let you know I love you. I don’t take your love and care for granted, even if it feels like it sometimes. Lately, everything feels like it’s falling apart and I’ve been lashing out at you and I’m so sorry for doing that.”
