38: An office bimbo

Aurora’s POV

I braced myself for the worst, expecting the lady to unleash her inner bitchiness, she surprised me by furrowing her brows momentarily before breaking into a bright, toothy grin. It was a stark contrast, catching me off guard, and I couldn't help but notice the gleaming white of her teeth. There was no mistaking it – she was definitely a werewolf.

In the Brown Wood Pack, humans were a rarity. While some packs accepted them, Alpha Caden had always deemed it too risky for our pack. The full moon brought out the wild instincts in us werewolves, and the potential for harm to unsuspecting humans was too great. Besides, we value our secrets a lot.

We preferred to stick to hunting animals during our transformations – or at least, that's what the others preferred. As for me, I had never hunted, never experienced the shift into my wolf form. So, I couldn't relate to their primal instincts and the risks they posed. I know I love meat but that is about that.
