44. Bestfriends

"Mamma vado al mercato" (Mama I'm going to the market) I shout from the door, "porta tuo fratello con te" (take your brother with you) mama says loudly from the kitchen, I frown.

I don't like tagging my siblings along with me in the market, besides I'm going out with my friends, none of them brings their siblings with them.

I giggle evilly as an idea pops in my mind, I know I'll get a good scolding later, "mamma sto facendo tardi.. ciaoeeee!" (mama I'm getting late.. byeeee!) I shout and hurriedly run out of the main door.

I hear her screaming profanities at me from behind but I keep running like a headless chicken.

I don't stop until I reach the market, some of the shopkeepers give me a weird look as they see me heaving like a maniac.

I look back, half expecting mama to come chasing behind me, she didn't.

I take a few minutes to calm my errat
