Chapter one hundred&forty one

Sam stood outside the small coffee shop, the very same spot where he had first met Bella. It had been almost a week since they had seen each other, because of the circumstances surrounding them, and yet it felt like no time had passed at all. He could still remember the way she had looked that day, her hair falling in loose waves around her face, her eyes sparkling with laughter.

As he pushed open the door, he saw Bella sitting at a table near the back, a small smile playing at the corners of her mouth. She looked up as he approached, her eyes meeting his with a mix of surprise and pleasure.

"Sam," she said softly, standing up to greet and hug him. "I have really missed you my love."

He smiled, feeling a familiar warmth spread through his chest. "I missed you too love," he said, pulling out a chair and sitting down across from her. "How have you been?"

Bella shrugged, taking a sip of her coffee. "I've been okay. Just busy with pack stuff, you know how it is."
