Chapter one hundred & ten

They sat on the banks of the stream, dangling their feet in the water and chatting away. Marcelyn noticed some wildflowers nearby and suggested they make a flower crown for Chris.

Darell and Marcelyn spent the next half hour gathering flowers and weaving them into a beautiful crown. Chris was embarrassed at first, but he couldn't help but feel delighted by the attention.

As they continued on their walk, they came across a small clearing where they saw some deer grazing. They all stopped in their tracks, not wanting to spook the animals. They watched in silence for a few minutes, marveling at the beauty of the creatures.

Suddenly, one of the deer looked up and spotted them. It took off, and the others followed in a flurry of movement. Darell suggested they try to follow them, to see if they could catch up.

The three of them set off at a run, darting through the trees and laughing uncontrollably. They were all out of breath by the time they caught up to the deer, but they didn't care. T
