Chapter one hundred & thirteen

Alpha Nathan growled in frustration. "I don't care what you've heard. I need you to find out everything you can about any vampire sightings, rumors, or activity. And I need it done by tonight."

Liam must have heard the urgency in Alpha Nathan's voice, because he finally relented. "All right, all right," he said. "I'll see what I can do. But this isn't going to be easy, you know. Vampires are notoriously secretive."

"I don't care," Alpha Nathan said, his voice cold. "Just get it done."

With that, he hung up the phone and began pacing back and forth in his den. He knew that they were running out of time. If the Marcelyn vampire was really planning to marry Alpha Darell, they needed to act fast.

Meanwhile, Liam was already on the move. He had called in a few favors of his own and was now making his way through the seedy underbelly of the city. He asked questions, listened carefully to rumors, and paid close attention to any suspicious activity.
