Chapter one hundred& thirty seven

Chris nodded and the two of them separated, each heading in a different direction. Darell moved quickly through the streets, scanning the crowds for any sign of Aimea and her group. He could feel his adrenaline pumping, the anticipation of the chase making him feel alive.

Suddenly, he caught sight of Fred and Sargus walking briskly down a side street. He quickly ducked behind a nearby dumpster to avoid being seen. He watched as they disappeared around a corner, then he quietly crept after them, trying to keep a safe distance.

After a few blocks, Fred and Sargus finally stopped at an abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of the city. Darell watched from a distance as they approached the door, then disappeared inside. He waited for a few minutes, making sure they weren't coming back out, then he signaled to Chris, who was waiting nearby.
