Ronan’s POV

“What were you thinking?” Timon questioned as he dressed my wound.

To avoid any suspicious questions, I asked that he be the one to check the wound. It would have been totally healed if I hadn’t decided to run back to the palace in such a hurried state.

“I was thinking correctly. I can't place my finger on it yet, but Freya is acting strange and I do not want to risk anything. Me talking to her is to instill fear and also plead with her at the same time.”

He sighed and looked up at me. “She is a woman, my king. You can’t expect her to not feel.”

I rubbed my forehead. “I never said she shouldn’t. I am only pleading for her to be thoughtful. I can feel it within me that something is about to go wrong. You know I don’t get stirred up for nothing.”

“That is true. So, you no longer have anything to tell her?”

“I think I have played my part. It is up to her to do whatever she wants. I am tired of making her see reason.”
