Fiona’s POV

Louis wailed loudly and it is beginning to sound disturbing to my ears. I have tried all I can to pacify him all to no avail. He just seems to enjoy making so much noise not concerning himself with how others might feel.

Isla rushed into the room and took him from my arms trying to comfort him. “What is the matter, little one? Why are you crying?” She asked if he would have a response to give. “Are you okay?” She asked me.

I sucked my teeth in frustration leaning into the bed frame. “I am not fine, Isla. I am tired. I want to get out of this place. I think Louis also feels the same. I feel abandoned here. How long do we have to live like this? And you, do you not miss your son? I do not want to shy away from the rest of the world. Anyone who is after me should have given up by now.”
