Freya gave Isla a despicable look. It's beginning to seem like the young maid is deviating from the initial plan. She cleared her throat and crossed her legs.

“Why haven’t I heard anything from you?” She asked.

Isla shifted on her kneel, she had been in the position for too long. “Nothing out of the ordinary has happened, your highness. The king hasn’t had much time lately.” She mused picking her words carefully to avoid getting someone else tangled in the mess.

She gave Isla a suspicious look. “Do I look like a fool to you, girl? You had better keep your eyes to the ground. I hear about your escapades with those smelly guards when you are supposed to watch over those two. Better be careful or I will end up taking it away from you.”

Her eyes moved in fear at the threat. Isla folded her hands, begging profusely. “I am sorry, your highness. I promise to do everything that you ask me.”
