Aurora quietly closed Eli's door. They had not made it back before he had fallen asleep. Arden had carried Eli to his bed and then went to check in with Rich. Arden held his cell phone to his ear as he waited for Alpha Evander to answer on the other end. Arden thought that the call would go to voicemail, but it ended up getting answered on the last ring. Aurora and Arden stood on the porch of the pack house. Alpha Evander and his protection drove down the road from the main gates. Aurora's hand was firmly placed in Arden's as they both waited. It did not take long for the black SUVs to pull into the drive and park. Alpha Evander's Beta was the first to exit the car followed by the driver. Alpha Evander sat in his large office chair and looked down at some paperwork that he had been handed once we were back from the Northern Pack. Veronica paced her large living room in front of the fireplace. As Lila sat in the warm bath, she knew that Veronica was using her. She was not dense enough to think that this other witch had brought her back to her home out of the goodness of her heart.
