Alpha Evander sat in his large office chair and looked down at some paperwork that he had been handed once we were back from the Northern Pack. He was just about to mind link with his Beta when a noise in front of him alerted him that he was no longer alone in the office.

Alpha Evander pulled the pulled the sheet of paper down just enough to see Veronica seated in the chair across from him. She looked at her nails at a distance as if being there was no concern to her. "What are you doing here?" Evander asked coolly. It was obvious she was not there for a tryst.

She finally looked over and met his gaze. "My dear Alpha do you not think that I do not have tabs on you when I am not with you?" She asked sweetly but the look in her eyes told Evander she was being anything but sweet at the moment. Alpha Evander's brows creased. He did not like the idea that his actions were being monitored without him knowing.
