Alpha Evander sat in his large office chair and looked down at some paperwork that he had been handed once we were back from the Northern Pack. He was just about to mind link with his Beta when a noise in front of him alerted him that he was no longer alone in the office. Veronica paced her large living room in front of the fireplace. Alpha Evander had confirmed that the child was in fact the reason for Alpha Arden and Luna Aurora's interest in the Crimson Pack and the Whispering Shadows Coven. As Lila sat in the warm bath, she knew that Veronica was using her. She was not dense enough to think that this other witch had brought her back to her home out of the goodness of her heart. However, Lila was tired of living in that cabin. She was no longer a little girl who thought of it as an adventure, but a grown woman who missed the luxuries of an actual home. Lila took her time and washed her hair thoroughly as it had been some time since she was able to wash in something other than a large bucket and wash cloth. Arden and Aurora stood in the Alpha office along with Rich and Roger. Arden had asked the previous Beta to join them as well. His father had decided to retire to a small house on the edge of the territory. It was not exactly a cabin, but it was close. Arden had tried numerous times to get Mason to return to the pack house. Lila had started to feel tired once more. The pregnancy made her look weak, and Lila despised looking weak. She walked back to the room that she was currently occupying. She closed the door behind her and turned the small lock that was on the knob. She turned to the center of her room. She wondered if Veronica would know that Lila teleported. She did not want to stay under Veronica's finger any longer or be a pawn in her game for vengeance. Lila had her own revenge to worry about. First thing was first. She needed to get to Mason and let him know of the pregnancy. She would have to take the chance of him growing angry and possibly killing her.
