The minute I turned my back on Dean, I knew that there was nothing he could ever do that would affect me. Not when Lance is still around.

When he had claimed that I slept around, I feared that Lance would feel betrayed and push me away but that wasn't the case. Instead, Lance stood by me, acting like he already knew and didn't care if I really did something like that or not. He stood for me, he even punched him. And that gave me the courage to face the bastard.

“I didn't reserve a 500 thousand dollar room only for us to be here talking to a nobody in the middle of nowhere, J” Those words from his mouth made me smile. Although I hid my smile, I was excited that he was ready to continue with the dinner.

Not bothering to talk anymore, I began to walk away from Dean and immediately, I turned to walk away, all the fear I had the moment I saw him, disappeared.
