Chapter Twenty Four

The next morning, Amira gently opened her eyes. She stretched her arms. She feels so tired and her head aches a bit. She found it difficult to sit up from the bed. She looked round the room, but couldn't find Ryan. Maybe he's in the bathroom. Her eyes abruptly caught the wall clock. She couldn't believe it's a minute past twelve noon. Does that mean she slept for so long?

Why does her head hurt a lot and she's finding it so hard to remember all that happened last night. The only thing she could remember was leaving the dinner Sophia arranged and meeting a guy named Justin who made her laugh with his jokes and then she took a juice. She couldn't remember anything else.

She didn't bother to think much. Her head is aching already and she doesn't want to make it worse. She is damn hungry, of course she should be. She has been sleeping for hours.

She forced herself out of the bed and slightly rubbed her eyes. She couldn't hear the splashing of water in the bathroom. Is Ryan even there?
