Mae's POV:
Loren Blake, his name like ecsatcy to me, a charming man yet horrifying. his aura radiating from him, telling you he's the Alpha beaware of what you do or say. Yet I can't help but be drawn towards him, he's absolutley just captivating. Aria would be drooling over him if she was awake i bet, Hopefully shell awaken soon, i miss her deeply already even though i didnt get to spend much time to her.
I look up at Loren who has ahold of my hand, pulling me slightly to help me stand up, feeling this strange numbness i feel in my arm, swinging my legs off the bed, Loren pulls me up to my feet. my legs tingling for laying down so long, my knees buckle, causing me to drop, however Loren grabbed ahold of me quickly, my body pressed against his.
"Whoa there, you okay?" he asks me, his arms around me tightly so i dont fall. my head on his chest basically, the height diffrence between the two of us was crazy. where i stood at five foot five, compared to his six foot three.
"Yes I'm sorry my legs were alittle numb. I'm okay now." I say to him keeping my gaze away from his. Loren then let go of me, keeping his hand on my lower back. I didn't realize that i was in totally diffrent clothes, I was in a simple flowy blue dress, that I had packed in my bag, it was my mothers dress.
"As long as you're okay." he says to me, as he hands me my bag, I take it from him, his hand still on my back.
"Thank you." I say to him, looking down at the small bag in my hands before slipping it onto my back.
"It's not too far of a walk from here to your room." he says taking his hand off my lower back, walking towards the door. "If you could darling keep your head down abit when walking with me, some of my pack members are not the nicest and will make sexual comments towards you if they see your pretty face."
Pretty? That is something that I am not, strange that he would say something like. Everyone would call me ugly back in that god awful place even before my parents died, everyone was very vocal about my looks, mother would tell me enot to listen however it was quiet hard not to.
"Hm? whats with the look of confusion?" He says walking back over to me, taking my chin in his fingers making me look up at him. I guess i got lost in thought for a moment.
"N-nothing, sorry just got lost in train of thought is all." I say to him, I had to lie to him, not that I wanted to, however I didnt want him to laugh in my face about what i thought about my self. I watch his eyes quickly change to black then back to silver, I could see the anger in his eyes. He knows i lied.
"Walk." he says, the irritation in his voice was beyond noticable. Loren takes his hand away from my face, turning hastley towards the door then quickly walked out of the room. I quickly follow him.
We walked in silence, I kept my head down like he had asked of me. No one gave us issues getting out of the pack infirmary, however we we got close to the pack house, Loren slowed his pace down, allowing me to walk next to him. A bit of a crowed gathered, unmated males growling slightly at my presence.
"Who does Alpha have there? She looks quiet tasty." One wolf stated, I could feel his gaze on me.
"Mmm little wolf want to come home with me, Ill make it worth your while." Another one growls deeply.
I keep my head down low, not allowing them to see my face, holding my breath, i clench the side of my dress tightly. I am horrified right now, even though I can't see them, i can only imagine how theyre all staring at me right now. Suddenly Loren puts his arm around my waist grabbing me tightly pulling me closer to him causing me to gasp and look up at him.
"Shut up!" Loren growls, "you all know better than to treat a guest that way, no one is to touch her understand." everyone in the crowed bowed their head as Lorem used his Alpha tone.
"Glad were all in agreement, now go on." Loren growled causing the crowd to quickly leave. Once everyone had left, Loren looked down at me, the anger in his eyes finally gone.
"L-Loren?" I say looking at him, my face flushed as his arm is still around me, making me numb. He lets go of me, the numbness leaving my waist, i wish he didnt let go, however he would never go for somebody like me.
"Sorry" he clears his throat, taking a step away from me. "they wouldnt have stopped unless I did that, the unmated males of my pack are bastards, so i appologize for their behavior towards you."
"Guess it's better than being phyically attacked." I say softly looking down at my bare feet, the wounds that were there are finally gone. Loren growls slightly, causing me to jump. I look up at him, and he is staring at me intenslily. His silver eyes looking as if theyre glowing.
"S-Sorry.." I say quickly. Great I've made him mad once agian, if i keep making him mad he's just going to kill me, or worse call Silas to come and get me.
Loren watches me, his eyes steady on me, he then takes my hand and interlaces his fingers with mine, causing me to blush hard, quickly i turn my face away from him. "It's only so the other males don't say those things agian, theyll think you belond to me, your innocence is too pure for you to hear the vile things that come from them." he says chuckling slightly.
I nod, continuing to look away from him, my face felt really hot, the numb feeling going up my arm completely. Loren then starts walking, causing me to start walking next to him, I keep my head down, not showing my face. Nobody messed with us anymore however, but I didn't want to chance it, because the last thing I want to do is make him angry at me agian.
Loren quickly led us into the pack house, shutting the door behind us as we entered the house. Looking around inside everything was a grey and black color scheme with red to bring in another color, it was quiete lovely actually. On this floor was a living room and kitchen along with a bathroom it seemed.
"Kai, Ryan, Lana and I stay here mostly, everyone member of my pack have their own houseing, however the door here is alway open incase of an emergency or for a member to get away from a gastly situation." Loren says to me, as he lets go of my hand, the numbness leaving my arm. I watch him walk towards the kitchen.
"You must be hungry, come sit and ill make dinner." Loren says pulling out a chair from the table, patting the back of it telling me to come and sit down.
"Oh no i couldnt ask of you to do that, plus I ate while I was in the infrimary." I say clapsing my hands behind my back, looking at him.
"We both know thats a damn lie, now come sit." his voice deep as he's walking over to the fridge. He can read me like a book it seems. I sigh and walk over and sit down at the table like he commaned me.
"Good girl." he says to me, his back turned towards me as I him look through the fridge. I bite my lip slightly, as I look at him. Oh Aria how much youd be going insane right now over this handsome man.
"How does potato soup sound to you?" Loren says turning towards me, a smirk appearing on his face, as he caught me staring at me agian.
"Potato soup sounds wonderful." I squeak looking down quickly.I havent had potato soup since I was a child. My mom used to make it for me all the time, it was one of my favorite things to eat.
"Okay potato soup it is, ill make enough for all of us. Wonder where the two dimwhits are." Loren says grabbing milk, heavy cream, butter, carrots and celery out of the fridge setting it down on the counter.
"Probably having homosexual relations." I say. Crap. I didnt mean to say that out loud.
Loren started howling with laughter, dropping the spoon in his hand on the floor. "Goddess i wasnt expecting you to say that."
Loren still laughing a little, Kai and Ryan come down the stairs, both of them looking confused.
"Uhh Loren? You sick or something?" Ryan asks walking over to the table where I am, pulling out a chair and sits down."
"I agree with Ryan, you have a fever or something thats making you delusional? You never laugh." Kai says coming into the kitchen also sitting down next to Ryan.
"I laugh, it's just that you two are not funny." Loren says as he cuts up the potatoes and adding them into the pot, he had stopped laughing.
"Hey, I am funny." Ryan pouts, crossing his arms over his chest, acting like a little kid.
"If you have to say youre funny, it just means that youre not." I say to. Kai and Loren both start laughing.
"Hey thats not very nice." Ryan exclaims, "Is it going to be the three of you aginst me now?"
"Oh I hope so." Kai says leaning back in his chair, Loren now sitting down at the table with us. "Ah Mae before I forget, Jason will be here tomorrow night, he told Silas he had a family emergency, it was the only way he was going to allow him to leave."
"Thank you for telling me Kai." I say smiling, Loren turns his head away and stands up and goes back to the stove, and starts stirring the pot. Quickly my smile fades as he got up. Kai gets up from the table and heads over to Loren, whispering in his ear. He's such a mystery.
"You need to smile more, it suits you much better." Ryan says to me smiling.
"He's right." Kai says as he comes and sits back down. "Smile more often."
"Mae if you please come here and taste this to see if its to youre liking." Loren says suddenly as he opens the drawer to the silverware, pulling out spoons for everyone.
"Okay." I say getting up from the table, walking over to Loren, he hands me a spoon with soup on it. I quickly blow on it to cool it down. Bringing the spoon to my mouth, the soup spilling into my mouth, it was absouletly heavenly.
"Mm, its delicious, however try adding abit of garlic salt to it. Promise you it makes it even better." I say looking up at him, his expresion curious.
"Hmm garlic salt, ive never added garlic salt to it before." He says opening the spice cabnit, pulling out the garlic salt, quickly adding it into the soup. I watch as Loren stirs it in quickly. he then grabs a spoon putting some soup on it then bringing it to his mouth, his expression chaning instanstly.
"Oh my you were correct, it's even better." He says to me smiling slightly, then turns and grabs four bowls from the cabnit. "Hey dimwhits come get dinner." He calls over to Kai and Ryan. Loren ladles some soup into a bowl, and then hands it to me. I carefully take the bowl from him.
"Oh thank you" I say to him, as Kai and Ryan walk up and make them both a bowl of the soup.
I slowly walk over to the table, making sure i dont spill any of the hot soup, Loren then walks up next to me, taking the bowl from my hands, setting it down on the table for me. i sit down where my food is, Every one then sits down also.
"Dig in Mae." Kai says already stuffing his mouth with soup.
"Thank you for the food Loren, it's been a while since ive had a meal like this." I say to him, watching him bring the spoon to his mouth.
"No problem." He says as he continues to eat.
All of us ate in silence, Kai, Ryan and Loren had finished their bowls, however i was only able to eat half of the bowl before it filled me up.
"Mmm that was delicious Loren." Kai says as he yawns. "Nice touch on the garlic salt Mae, great idea."
"It's how my mom would make it when I was a kid, I havent had it since." I say softly, Lorens eyes on me. His face is mostly expressionless most of the times, how ever even though he has no expression really, his eyes give everything away. Right now there is sadness and anger in his eyes.
"Well I'm glad you all liked it." Loren finally says to all of us, as he looks over towards the clock and it read, 9:30.
"Alright I'm going to bed" Kai yawns as he stands up. "Keep my bowl in the sink I'll wash it in the morning."
"I'm going to do the same also." Ryan says following Kai, both of them waving at us as they go up the stairs.
"See what I mean, homosexual relations." I say as I watch them go up the steps, Loren started laughing agian. His laugh is deep and sexy as hell.
"Careful Kai doesnt hear you, he'll be angry." Loren says chuckling.
"If he's anything like Jason, I seriously doubt it." I say yawning. I didnt realize how exhausted I truly was, even though ive slept the last couple of days, my mind and body are just still exhausted.
"Come now, I'll take care of the dishes, let me show you the room you will be residing in while you are here." Loren says standing up from the table.
"Oh no let me help you with them I dont mind." I say standing up quickly. Loren put his hand up to stop me.
"You've had a rough couple of days, you must sleep, I will take care of the dishes. My sister will be home tomorrow. Her name is Lana, and shes a handful so you better get all the sleep you can for when she arrives tomorrow, and on top of her arrival Jason will be here tomorrow night also, so you need to get as much sleep as you can." Loren says putting his hand on my lower back ushering me towards the stairs.
I sigh in defeat, as Loren leads me up the stairs, his hand still lingering on my lower back. I've been awake for so many hours and I already feel at place here. It's strange compared to everything i was told before on how other packs treat outsiders, its nothing like how i was told.
Quickly we head up the stairs to the third floor, Loren brushes pass me and opens a door, walking into the room, it was absoultely stunning, my bag was sitting on a table. The room was huge, colors of silver and blue filled the room. I've never have stayed in a room this luxiourous before.
I am breathless as i look around the room. "Goddess this is beautiful."
Loren smirks abit. "Well this is the room you will be staying in, if thats okay with you. My room is next door, so if you need somthing just come and knock." Loren then points at a door. "There is a bathroom through that door right there, Kai and Ryan put all basic nessesities in there for you."
"Thank you so much, I never would expected to be treated like this, if I am being honest." I say softly looking around the room still.
"I don't know what things Silas has told you and his pack, but its clearly not true." Loren says sighing.
"He tells everyone in the pack that if they want to leave theyre better off dead for no other pack would ever accept them, and that the Alphas of other packs would kill them on the spot if they were to try and even talk to them." I say softly looking down at my feet.
"Interesting. I told you my views on things, however every Alpha is diffrent." Loren says walking over to me. "Silas will not hurt you agian, not while I'm around, I may not be the nicest wolf, however I do have morals."
"You say youre not nice however youve been nothing but nice to me since i have arrived here." I say looking up at him, my heart started to race, we were alone in a room togeather, Loren standing in front of me, his silver eyes locked on to mine.
"I have my reasons." his voice deep, he started to take a step towards me, however he stopped. He clears his throat "Well, you need to try and sleep, I have some work i have to do before i can go to bed, so i bid you a good night."
I watch Loren leave the room in a hurry, the door shutting behind him, he didnt even give me a chance to tell him goodnight, he must of had something serious happen. I sigh, walking over to the table where my bag was. i open it, pulling out the little clothes i had packed with me, setting them on the chair.
"I'll just wake up early and take a shower, Im too tired to take one now." I say outloud setting all my stuff out neatly. Yawning I go and lay down on the massive bed, not even having a chance to cover my self with a blanket darkness surrounded me.
