Chapter Thirty-Two

The silver chains shackled on his ankles rattled against the stone floors beneath him, the silver metal burned and sizzled his skin. It felt as if his skin was melting off the bone. The overwhelming smell invaded his nostrils and his senses were jumbled by the sickening smell all the while his animalistic instincts blocked all rational thought so only one thing remained: the mate bond. He had been down in this cellar for far too long - days, maybe weeks - and now there was almost nothing left of his mind, he's almost completely all wolf and no human thought. The only thing driving him is the pull of the bond, he could feel his soul being pulled, nudged and pushed because his mate is here, somewhere in this building and he is too restrained - too weak - to take her for his own.
