Chapter Twenty-Seven

Dmitri

Almost blindly enraged, Dmitri stood in front of Nina Black, unconscious and barely alive and tied to a chair and he waited for to wake up to interrogate her even though it took every fibre in his being not to snap her neck and rip out her spine through her sternum. Clenching his fists, he awaited patiently for her to open her eyes. Dmitri's thoughts were interrupted by Max's intolerable snickering. Rolling his eyes, Dmitri called out to him. "What do you want, Max," Dmitri sighed.

"Nothing, really," Max chuckled. "I still think it's hilarious how this all happened, don't you? The one person that could help us find Angel and she literally falls at our feet." Max shook his head and chuckled. Dmitri admired this about Max; even in the worst of situations he is able to keep his light hearted spirit alive and amuse Dmitri, even when he doesn't feel like it.
