Chapter 21

In the downtown at Wolf Committee. Darren had no idea what a hellish ordeal his mate was going through.

He was being tortured too.

In the meeting room, around the huge conference table, he was placed at the end of it, facing tons of uncovered disdain and contempt from all the other “legitimate” Alphas.

On the opposite of him was Fay, the Chief Luna of the Wolf Committee. She took a chair at the head of the table, looking at him with a light sneer on her meticulously cared face.

“I think I’ve made it very clear on the phone.” She spoke coldly, leaning forward to place her elbows on the table, crossing her fingers together, “Why don’t you bring that poor girl here as I asked, Rogue?”

Darren was in his human form. It would be impolite to attend a meeting like this as a wolf. He wore a formal black suit as the other Alphas did. The fabric and the bind made him very uncomfortable. He got more irritable because of that.

“Watch your language, Fay,” he growled, “Amelia is not some poor girl.
