One should always tell their true feelings to their partner.

It contradicted everything Amelia had learned from her past life. Still, she decided to talk with Darren.

Seeing him walking away like that was like a knife stabbing right into her heart. Amelia didn’t want to lose him again, and she surely didn’t want to see him hurt.

She had already realized there must be some kind of misunderstanding between them. It’s just difficult for her to find the right way to face him. It was she, after all, who escaped from him without leaving a word…

Amelia lay on the bed awake the whole night.

The next day, when the dawn cast first daylight, she quickly got off bed and freshened herself up in the bathroom.

After that, she left a note to Irene, then drove her truck back to her bakery shop. She decided to bake some muffins for Darren as their “meeting gift”. She needed to thank him for his help last night no matter what, but soon, she realized she had no idea what flavor he liked.
