Amelia didn’t get much sleep at the night. What Irene told her bugged her head. Somehow, she had a really bad feeling about what had happened to Green Lake.

The Moon Goddess’s relic that was too good to be true, the vampire original which only existed in stories, and Jeff’s betrayal and Ian. All those things tangled into a puzzling knot in her head. She sensed something huge and horrid would fall upon the little town soon.

The long-lost fear recaptured her but she wouldn’t try to escape this time. The one thing she had learned from her tragic past life was that nothing could be solved by escape. Avoiding would only make things much worse.

“Just hope you will be here with me, all the time.” She laid on the bed on her side, whispering to the air in the dark.

Darren sensed her via their mate bond. He answered her uneasiness with a deep growl in his throat.
