Chapter 105

As soon as the doctor comes into the room, Luis starts asking questions. “Doctor what’s going on? Why is she in so much pain now?”

“I’m not sure yet Jefe. Please let me examine her. Would you help me take off her shirt so I can look at her wounds?”

Luis nods and helps the doctor take off Veronica’s shirt. The doctor removes the bandages to examine the wounds themselves to make sure there is no infection. “All the wounds look good. I don’t see any infection.”

Just then Veronica screams in pain as she doubles over clutching her stomach.

“There’s something else going on. We need to get her to the hospital to see if we can figure it out soon. I am going to give her a pain shot so we can transport her without her being in so much pain.”

Luis doesn’t say anything, he just nods in understanding. The doctor gives her a shot and Luis scoops her up just as she passes out from the pain. Octavio and Gloria come running in followed by Christopher and Tiffany.
