Chapter 108

Luis is quick to act and pushes them behind him before he draws his gun and shoots two before Vicente shoots the other two.

Luis scoops up Veronica and Vicente takes Octavio and Gloria out to safety. They throw them all into the awaiting car and the driver speeds off. A second car with Gloria’s parents takes off shortly after with Gavin and Hector.

“Who the fuck was that?” Veronica asks weakly. She is overly exhausted from the day. She can’t even sit upright anymore.
